Day 1 Day 1: Arrival in Mysore & Heritage Tour

  • Morning: Arrive in Mysore and check into your hotel. Start with a visit to the Mysore Palace, one of the most magnificent royal buildings in India.

  • Afternoon: Visit Jaganmohan Palace (Art Gallery) and the St. Philomena's Cathedral, known for its Neo-Gothic architecture.

  • Evening: Head to Chamundi Hills to visit the Chamundeshwari Temple and get a panoramic view of the city. Later, visit the Brindavan Gardens to see the musical fountain show.

  • Stay: Mysore.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Mysore to Ooty (The Jungle Drive)

  • Morning: Depart for Ooty (approx. 125–150 km, 3.5–4 hours). The drive is scenic as you pass through Bandipur National Park and Mudumalai Tiger Reserve.

Jungle Route Note: The road through Bandipur/Mudumalai usually closes at night (9:00 PM to 6:00 AM). Plan your travel to Mysore/Ooty during daylight hours. Booking the Toy Train: It is highly recommended to book tickets in advance via the IRCTC website, as they sell out very quickly.
